Ubuntu Won't Connect Ghost VPN After Update to 24.04
After the update from 22.04 to 24.04 I get this message when connecting to ghost VPN. I check and see my IP location has not changed.
System-Product-Name:~$ sudo cyberghostvpn --traffic --country-code US --connect
Prepare OpenVPN connection ...
Select server ... sanfrancisco-s404-i11
Connecting ...
Downloading configuration ...
I reran System-Product-Name:~$ sudo cyberghostvpn --setup. Nothing changed after the command.

You probably don't actually need the providers CLI program to use the service if they support OpenVPN. It's literally an open source VPN. You just need the configuration file/s from the provider and they seem to detail this manual setup here:

Follow the instructions up to downloading the .zip file, unzip the file, then in Ubuntu Network Settings click the + against VPN and choose Import from file...
Select the downloaded .ovpn file then you should just need to select the Identity/Authentication method which looks like from the link above to be Certificates rather than username/password. Select/import the certificates/key from the .zip and you should be good to go.
