I recently installed Ubuntu 26.04 on my MS Surface 2 laptop. I was having issues with the wireless connection so I downloaded & updated the MS surface kernel. I would tell you specifically which one, but upon reboot, it sends me to a black screen with itty bitty font in the upper left corner of the screen saying:
Ubuntu 26.04 LTS (name)SB2 TTYL
(name)SB2 login:
(I input "y" & get this option next)
Password:
When I use either of the pass-phrase or the password, it tells me it's incorrect & just repeats the prompts. I can't figure out what to do to either bypass or fix this screen. Any ideas?
PS - would love to give you the kernel but I used my laptop to find & paste it. so....I can't access it now. 😬
