First 2 freedoms and Israeli airlines

This map from a Reddit post shows countries that don't allow Israeli aircraft to cross its air space.

I don't know anything about… I guess this is part of maritime law? or whatever it is. But the Wikipedia "Freedoms of the air" article says that signatories to the 1944 International Air Services Transit Agreement all allow one another to use their airspace for commercial flights' flying over without stopping. Israel is a signatory, as are a bunch of countries that seemingly don't allow Israel to fly over them. What gives? Is the Wikipedia article simply wrong? Is there some fine print those countries invoke? Or what?

Top Answer/Comment:

The Reddit map marks up Algeria, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Pakistan, Qatar, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen (and possibly Brunei).

Of those, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen are not signatories to the the International Air Services Transit Agreement. Therefore they are not obliged to allow transit of any other countries' aircraft, including Israel.

The others are all either member states of the Arab League or the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, whose members do not recognise the state of Israel, and it seems likely that is the reason they don't allow transit for Israeli aircraft.

"What gives?" Who knows why someone would post this on Reddit, but it could be propaganda or just stirring. The map isn't even credited with a source.
