Excel 365 VBA editor not responding to font size changes

Excel 365 VBA editor not responding to font size changes

(Windows 11/Excel 365)

I've been trying to enlarge the text size in my Excel VBA modules. The typical way to do this (Alt+F11 to open VBA window -> Tools -> Options -> Editor Format -> Size) is described here and here. However, changing that, in and of itself, is not affecting the size of my code at all. By default all code is size 9 it seems. I want to change all code to be size 12. When I use the above method and click OK, nothing happens, and if I try to use the above method again, it still shows size 9 as if I never changed it.

(This same problem is described in this forum but no answers were given.)

(This discussion mentioned changing the display resolution for the computer to the Windows recommended value (in that discussion's case, 200%, in mine, 150%), then changing the VBA editor font as described above, then readjusting the display settings. This worked for me but is very cumbersome.)

How can the font size in the VBA editor be changed when the computer display is not on a Windows-recommended scale and without having to change the display scale?

Comment: "Tools -> Options -> Editor Format -> Size" did work in Excel 2013....
